Sound and Soul Yoga

MY STORY

My journey with yoga began quietly, as a teenager practising in my living room — a simple space where I first discovered the calming power of movement and breath. Later, while training in Musical Theatre at drama school in London, I found refuge in yoga studios across North London. Amid the intensity of performance training, these moments on the mat became sacred — a way to stay grounded and connected to myself.

In 2020, I took the leap to deepen my path and completed my yoga teacher training with Himalayan Yoga Valley. It was there I trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa — a strong, flowing practice that built resilience, flexibility and inner strength. Studying yoga philosophy alongside asana gave me tools that extended far beyond the mat — guiding me back home to myself and inspiring me to support others in doing the same.

After qualifying, I began teaching Vinyasa yoga at studios, retreat centres and a variety of organisations, sharing dynamic and nourishing classes with people from all walks of life. These experiences gave me the confidence and grounding to expand my offerings and continue evolving as a teacher.

Shortly after, I began working more closely with children and teenagers, combining my background in performance with my passion for mindful movement. I trained with Cosmic Kids and Calm for Kids, developing creative, playful yoga sessions that help young people explore self-expression, emotional awareness, and confidence through movement and breath.

Following the lockdown period, I sustained a series of dance-related injuries that deeply impacted my physical practice. The strong forms I once relied on no longer felt accessible — and I found myself being called into gentler, more intuitive ways of moving. This led me into somatic and restorative practices that supported my healing both physically and emotionally. It became clear that trauma had been living in my body, and I needed new pathways to release and reconnect.

That was when I discovered the power of sound healing — a turning point in my personal and professional journey. Drawn to its vibrational magic, I trained with Sound Healing Academy International and Harmonic Sounds in Alicante. Through voice, frequency, and sacred instruments, I learned how sound could soothe the nervous system, shift stagnant energy, and open the heart in profound ways. It gave me a new language for healing — one that beautifully complemented my love of movement, music, and human connection.

Since then, I’ve shared yoga, sound and meditation across the Midlands and beyond — including a teaching opportunity in Hong Kong. Travels through Bali and Thailand further shaped my vision and inspired the creation of Sound & Soul Yoga — a space where healing, expression and community meet.

Today, Sound & Soul Yoga offers a blend of nourishing movement, transformative sound healing, mantra meditation and breathwork — designed to support all ages, abilities and stages of life. Whether you’re seeking stillness, softness, or a deep sense of home within yourself, I create soulful spaces for you to feel held, heard and whole.
